The not to miss ramen while in Japan, with more than 40 outlets throughout Japan. in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Hyogo, Okayama & Hiroshima.

Shinjuku, Tokyo
This is our favorite heart-stopping ramen, yes heart-stopping, to date. Customisable ramen, with 4 LEVELS OF FATBACK (背脂) to choose from for your soup. Zundo-ya’s ramen tonkotsu broth is still the one with the thickest, strongest umami ever.

Our 2 frequent ramen pit-stop in Tokyo & Osaka
Zundo-ya only has one outlet located in Tokyo.

The drinks selection seem to differ depending which outlet you visit. For example, the freezing Nikka Highball we ordered at Shinjuku Zundo-Ya (above) was not available in Osaka outlet
One of eighteen outlets located in Osaka.

This outlet (address provided above) is located in Osaka, about 10-15 minutes walk from Kuromon Ichiba and our onsen hotel Nanba Dormy Inn Premium Hotel. There are about 18 Zundo-Ya outlets in Osaka itself, for addresses of other outlets please visit their website we provided above.
Shinsaibashisuji, Osaka
We usually order 全部のせらーめん (All-in Ramen) which includes - Char Siu, Ajitsuke Tamago, Fried Garlic Chips, Grilled Seaweed, Green Onions & Bean Sprouts; when ordering the ramen, you can choose how much fats you want for your broth and we both maxed it out. We got there with a full stomach after a day of eating in Kuromon Ichiba, got our bowl of ramen; the smell is right, the taste is strong and the next thing we know, our bowls are empty. Literally a bowl of ramen to die for.

Shinsaibashisuji, Osaka
祭りセット (Festival Set) - Karaage, Bean Sprouts and Gyoza. Chunky, juicy karaage and juice dripping gyoza. A very good plate of side overshadowed by the bowl of ramen we would say.
Try to get there slightly before meal times or off peak hours if you want to avoid the crowd, their queue could get pretty long at times.
No Zund No Ramen.
