We are back at Pipes! This time round for dinner, we ordered their Signature Tonkatsu Sandwich, Kaki Zosui (Oyster Porridge) and Tonpeiyaki.
Their Signature Tonkatsu Sandwich, S$20.00, is heavenly. Their super tender, juicy chunk of deep fried pork chops sandwiched between Pipes signature syokupan toasted bread, made with 100% Echire butter, with a slight tinch of wasabi, is literally a match-make in heaven.
Kaki Zosui (Oyster Porridge), S$8.00, big fat succulent Hiroshima oysters shimmered in clypot rice in dashi broth.you can literally taste the sweet umami of the oysters. Freshness is what you will be find here. Definitely worth more than 8 bucks.
Tonpeiyaki, S$9.00, omelet filled with shredded cabbage and spanish pork belly, topped with sweet sauce, mayo and spring onions. A light dish if you want a light meal, definitely goes well as a side dish to your main meal.

LOCATION
Pipes is located at Exit H of Outram Train Station, they are kind of hidden in a blind spot, so turn right once you exit the train station and you will see them. Clean place, good for small gatherings. Inside the eatery, keep a look out for their Hattendo Roasting Gallery, it is a showroom for the “NOVO MARK II”, the first fully automated roaster in Singapore.
