About a quarter to half of the stalls in Kuromon Ichiba offers seafood or seafood related dishes. In Kuromon Ichiba, you can find the freshest and the most price worthy seafood (not only seafood, fruits, vegetables and meat too) around in Osaka.

The amount of delicious seafood at Kuromon Ichiba is endless, it did be best to go in groups of four or fives so that you can try more variety of food and stalls there. Some of them are so delicious that we kept going back for the second and third day.

There are a variety of seafood stalls that offers skewers, fresh seafood that are paraded in front of the stalls and you choose which piece you like and the shopkeeper will grill them in front of you. Huge Japanese oysters are like ¥300 per piece (grilling included), scallops ¥400 (grilling included), mid size prawns ¥250 (grilled/ sashimi).

Fugu (yes, that poisonous puffer fish) is Kuromon Ichiba's speciality, if you ask any locals in Osaka where to get tasty fugu, they would probably tell you Kuromon Ichiba. Around ¥2000 per plate for 9 pieces of fugu sashimi.
