Kuromon Ichiba 🍣🍜🥩 黒門市場

Location:

2 Chome-4-1 Nipponbashi, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 542-0073, Japan

黒門市場 (Kuromon Ichiba) is a public market that stretches about 600m in the Minami area of Osaka that dates back to the Edo Period and has around 150 shops in it. It is a heart charming, tummy filling place to stroll around, shop and eat a huge variety of different kinds of street food.

The market not only sells local produce such as seafood, meat, fruits and vegetables, they also have shops that sells traditional sweets, home wares, clothes and lots of street food.

Grilled Emperor Crab, oysters, yakiniku, otoro, sea urchins and seasonal fruits are some of the many types of street foods available in Kuromon Ichiba, some of the shops even provide a small sitting/ standing area for their customers to consume their food.

Recommendation: The wagyu and otoro in Kuromon Ichiba is quite a lot cheaper than what you can get in Tokyo, we usually murder ourselves with those two in Kuromon first before heading to Tokyo 😜
